°1 lb. minced meat
°1 pound of ground sausage
°1 green pepper
°1 red pepper
°1 yellow pepper
°28 oz fire roasted tomatoes, undrained
°1 yellow onion, chopped
°2 cups cooked long-grain rice or 1 cup uncooked instant rice
°4 minced garlic cloves
°15 ounces of tomato sauce
°2 cups beef broth
°Salt and pepper to taste
°½ teaspoon thyme
°Half a teaspoon of thyme
°1 teaspoon basil
°Shredded mozzarella cheese for garnish

Brown the minced meat in a large saucepan over medium heat
Add onions and garlic
Season with your choice of spices
Add the chopped sweet pepper
Carefully pour in the beef broth, tomato sauce and roasted tomatoes
stir until combined
Simmer for 30 minutes
