Slow Cooker Hawaiian Chicken has a sweet and tangy sauce with onions and green peppers! Great over brown rice with steamed green vegetables.
Chicken Breasts – Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are great for this recipe. They stay moist in all of the sauce. Another option is chicken tenderloin.
Paprika – Green bell peppers are an essential ingredient in Hawaiian recipes.
pineapple – crushed pineapple will sweeten and flavor the sauce; Drain the pineapple pieces. You can add pineapple juice to the dish, although the sauce will be runny.
Bacon – Cooked and crumbled bacon adds a slightly smoky flavor to the recipe.
Ingredients for the sauce – For the sauce, you will need barbecue sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and pepper.
*Ingredients:
°1 can of crushed pineapple
°1 cup BBQ sauce (it doesn’t have to be Hawaiian-style, honey BBQ sauce would work, too)
°2-4 boneless chicken breasts (or as many as you need for your family).
*Directions:
1. Mix the BBQ sauce and pineapple together in a bowl.
2. Place the chicken in the crock pot
3. Pour the mixture over the chicken
4. Cook on low heat for 5-6 hours.
